LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif met with former convener of Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM-Pakistan) Coordinating Committee Dr Farooq Sattar and discussed matters concerning national and political importance.

Shehbaz warmly welcomed Dr Sattar at his residence in Model Town Lahore. PMLN Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal, former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, former Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq were also present in the meeting.

The two leaders discussed the overall situation in the country and important political issues. Both leaders expressed concern over the country’s worsening catastrophic economic condition and the uncontrollable inflation. They agreed that the circumstances demanded a change in the country.

The two leaders also discussed the electronic voting machine (EVM) and the government’s electoral reform initiatives. Shehbaz and Sattar agreed to continue communication and consultation in future.
