ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday termed the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)’s decision to hold a march on Pakistan Day an extremely irresponsible move.
“The armed forces stage a national parade on this day which is attended by citizens, ambassadors and various delegates,” he said in a series of tweets.
The interior minister said Islamabad was on high alert for the parade and some roads were closed two or three days in advance. He urged the PDM to move the demonstration to April.
