JHELUM: At least three people including two female students were killed and 15 others injured as a coaster fell off a bridge on GT Road in Dina area of Jhelum city on Sunday.
Rescue officials said the 15 injured people were shifted to Rural Health Centre Dina. Four of the injured were in critical condition, said the rescue officials adding that the reason behind the accident could not be ascertained so far. They said the coaster was going to Murree from Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed grief over the incident. He also expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families. He directed the local administration to supervise treatment of the injured at the hospital.

Usman Bazdar has sought a report from the Rawalpindi Division commissioner and Rawalpindi regional police officer on the tragic accident.
On November 29, at least three people were killed and nine others wounded in a road accident near Landhi Bacha Jail in Karachi.
Rescue sources had said the coaster van was carrying employees of a private van that turned turtle after colliding with a passenger bus. The deceased and injured had been shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem and treatment respectively, they had said.
