LAHORE: At least three policemen were arrested from the Gulberg area of Lahore for allegedly robbing a citizen.
According to police sources, Abdul Ahad, the victim, told the law enforcement agency that he had gone to a restaurant in Gulberg to buy some food a few days back.
After placing an order, he was waiting for food in his car when three suspects in a police uniform approached him. They introduced themselves as cops, pointed arms at him and asked him to hand over all his valuables.
The suspects snatched cash and valuables worth over Rs0.2 million from him and fled towards Liberty. He said that a nearby security guard is also a witness to the episode.

The victim further told the police that he followed the suspects on his own and identified two of them as Imran Watoo and Asif.
A case has been registered against them over robbery charges and section 155 of the police order (2002) for abuse of powers.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Punjab Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice of the incident and has issued dismissal orders against the suspects.
