KARACHI: The United Business Group (UBG) has won the support of the business community by giving excellent performance, an official of the UBG said on Monday.
Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry president and UBG chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik said that the business community across the country supports UBG, which proves that it will win the upcoming federation chamber elections to be held on December 30.
UBG brought the business community together to rectify the mistakes made by the governing body and to strengthen this national business community body, he said.
Meeting the UBG candidate for vice president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Malik Suhail Hussain from Islamabad, senior advocate High court/Supreme court Malik Ghlam Sabir and Waqar Ahmed Mian, he said UBG has prepared for the elections and the people who work for their personal interests will have to go home.
UBG has been participating in trade politics for more than four decades and none can point a finger at the intentions of the group.
Malik said that UBG has never worked for its own gains and has never done the drawing room politics but always won fairly by elections.
UBG patron-in-chief S M Munir’s presence and hard work in the elections is energising UBG leaders and workers, and the group will win the upcoming elections.
UBG candidates for the president, senior vice president and vice president are the best nominations who have a positive attitude towards serving the business community, he said.
He expressed the hope for a victory in the upcoming elections, saying that the mission is to make the federation a true representative of the business community and by winning the elections the group will work for the development of the business community.
