On the auspicious occasion of Pakistan Day, the Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah Khalid Majid organised a flag hoisting ceremony to celebrate the day.

In his address, the Pakistani envoy Majid congratulated the Pakistani community and highlighted the significance of the day.

He underlined Pakistan’s regional and global importance by its history, geo-strategic location, rich human and natural resources.

The event highlighted that the government of Pakistan was aware of the current challenges facing the country and had adopted a comprehensive set of economic and structural reforms to lay the foundations of sustainable socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, the participants paid rich tributes to the heroes of the Pakistan movement and those who made significant contributions towards the national objectives, stability, and progress of Pakistan.

The Pakistani consul general highlighted Pakistan’s strong relations with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and praised the contribution of the Pakistani community in further strengthening Pak-Saudi ties.

The event ended with cake cutting amid collective prayer for the prosperity of Pakistan.
