Afghanistan’s capital city of QALA-E-NAW has been the scene of a series of violent clashes between government Officials in Afghanistan reported Wednesday that four people were killed and 15 wounded in two separate traffic incidents that occurred on Tuesday in the provinces of Nangarhar in the east and Badghis in the west.

In the first accident, four people, including a lady, were killed outside Jalalabad, the province seat of Nangarhar, according to the state-run news agency Bakhtar.

A health official in the western Badghis province, Sanahullah Sabit, confirmed that a similar tragedy occurred in Muqar district late Tuesday, hurting seven travellers.

Meanwhile, Badghis province’s information and culture director Mawlawi Baz Mohammad Sarwari acknowledged the occurrence and said an inquiry had been launched.

Officials in war-torn Afghanistan say that the major causes of traffic accidents are careless driving and crowded roadways.
