China’s top economic planner said on Thursday that retail gasoline and diesel prices will rise starting on Friday.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel would be hiked by 205 yuan (about 31.24 US dollars) and 200 yuan per tonne, respectively, due to recent fluctuations in world oil prices.

This is the fourth increase in fuel prices this year.

If worldwide crude oil prices move by more than 50 yuan per tonne and stay at that level for 10 working days, the prices of refined oil products such as gasoline and diesel in China would be modified appropriately, according to the present pricing process.
