President Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday administered the oath of office to Senator Dr Musadik Malik as Minister of State at a ceremony held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by parliamentarians and senior government officials.
Belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Senator Musadik Malik joined the cabinet in the fourth phase of its formation as the earlier swearing-in ceremonies were taken place on April 19, April 22, and April 27.
The new cabinet reflects the political mix of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Pakistan Muslim League-Q and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Earlier, a 34-member cabinet of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on 19th April took the oath to join the coalition government after former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government was toppled through a no-confidence motion.
The federal cabinet has some fresh faces too this time who carved their way to the cabinet for the first time.
Maulana Asad Mahmood is the son of PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and has been first time elected as a member national assembly.
Faisal belongs to Muttahiga Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and has been an active politician for more than 2 decades.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shazia Marri has been a member of Sindh Assembly for two consecutive terms.
Dr. Ayesha Ghous Pasha has been a Member of Punjab Assembly from 2013 to 2018 on behalf of PML-N. She has also served as Finance Minister in Punjab.
The previous speaker of National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq belongs to PML-N.
Rana Sanaullah belongs to PML-N and was previously the law minister in Punjab.
