TransPennine Express (TPE) will operate a very limited service on the day and advises passengers to avoid travel and instead make their travels on either side of Sunday.

Anyone who has to travel by rail should plan carefully, check ahead of time, and give lots of extra time to travel because any services that do run will be extremely crowded.

On Sunday, bikes will not be permitted on TPE trains. Services that the train operator intends to run on Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday, Network Rail will be carrying out engineering work between Carlisle and Edinburgh/Glasgow, with a substitute bus service running between Carlisle, Lockerbie, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
