In honour of Father’s Day, Queen Elizabeth II released a lovely flashback photo with her late father, King George VI, recalling special times they shared.
On the occasion of the yearly holiday, the 96-year-old queen uploaded a gorgeous snapshot on the Royal Family’s official Instagram account.
The Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, is seen enjoying a good moment with her father in this 1946 photograph. As they stand in a garden, the father-daughter combo can be seen beaming at one other.
“Wishing all of our followers a very happy Father’s Day,” Prince Harry and William’s grandma captioned the adorable shot.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, paid tribute to their fathers on Father’s Day.
“Wishing all of you a wonderful Father’s Day!” A sequence of images of the future king with his father, Camilla with her own, and Prince Charles with a young Prince William and Prince Harry accompanied Charles and Camilla’s letter.
“Wishing a Happy Father’s Day to fathers and grandfathers across the world today!” wrote Kate Middleton and William on Instagram, accompanying a photo of William with the couple’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
