Actor Sunny Deol discusses reuniting with Rajkumar Santoshi

Sunny will likely smile and say, “I know everyone is waiting for it, we all want it. I also want it, he also wants it. But somehow it is not happening.” But are they discussing any ideas? “We do meet up, but I don’t have an answer right now. We challenge each other a lot while working. We don’t like to do the same thing and wish to discover something new. There are a couple of subjects we are talking about at the moment, so let’s hope they materialize.”

To get the word out about his upcoming film Chup, in which he co-stars with Dulquer Salmaan and is directed by R Balki, Sunny is keeping himself quite busy with promotional activities. Beginning in October, he will start filming on the Anil Sharma–directed sequel Gadar 2, scheduled for release in 2023. Sunny updated me on the production of Gadar 2 and expressed confidence that the movie would meet or exceed viewers’ expectations. Although this was an initially challenging assignment, I’ve come to the conclusion that the public wants me to tear things to shreds. I have full faith in the finished product. Anyone I talk to is interested in seeing something, and we have it in Gadar, he said.
