Ex-PPP MNA Chaudhry Saeed found dead in Islamabad

• Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal was found dead in a guesthouse
• PPP Punjab said he died from a cardiac arrest
• He was elected MNA from NA-81 Faisalabad form 2008-2013

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal was found dead in a guesthouse in Islamabad under mysterious circumstances.

The 54-year-old former PPP lawmaker was residing at a guesthouse in Sector F-8 sector where he was found dead, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) said.

Police shifted the body to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) to determine the actual cause of his death and medico-legal formalities. Police said that they are investigating the cause of the death.

PPP Punjab said that Chaudhry Saeed died of cardiac arrest. The party said the time of his funeral prayer would be announced later.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed his grief on the sad demise of the former lawmaker. He offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. nHe paid rich tribute to the former MNA and said Chaudhry Saeed served the party and his constituency for a long time.

Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal was a Member of National Assembly from 2008 to 2013. He was elected from  NA-81 (Faisalabad-VII) Constituency as a PPP candidate in 2008 general election.

He ran for the seat of the seat 2013 general election but was unsuccessful. He also served Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Communications and PPP Divisional President Faisalabad
