Meghan Markle thanked fans on winning People’s Choice Award

• Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast has won a People’s Choice Award.
• The award was announced just hours before the couple’s Netflix show premiered.
• The Duchess of Sussex thanked the audience and voters for voting for it.

After winning a People’s Choice Award just hours before the premiere of her and Prince Harry’s Netflix programme, Meghan Markle praised the audience and voters.

The People’s Choice Awards have selected the Archetypes podcast, which Prince Harry’s wife produces as part of a £18 million partnership with Spotify, the Pop Podcast of 2022.

“Thank you to all the supporters and fans of Archetypes who voted for us for this special People’s Choice Award,” the Duchess of Sussex stated in a statement.”

She continued: ‘I loved digging my hands into the process, sitting up late at night in bed, working on the writing and creative. And I loved digging deep into meaningful conversation with my diverse and inspiring guests, laughing and learning with them, and with each of you listening.”

The mother of Lilibet and Archie sent a special thank you to Terry Wood, who served as her right hand on this unique endeavour, as well as Catherine, Rebecca, Andy, Matt, and the rest of the crew who put in a lot of effort to make each moment meaningful.

Finally, Meghan Markle said: “Above all, huge thanks to each of you who voted. Your support means the world.”
