Randi Fenoli declares, “I’m so in love. Every day I’m ecstatic. And every day just gets more amazing. It really does. It’s easy. It’s nothing like anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s unbelievable.”

Fenoli planned the elaborate surprise proposal for Kobal months in advance.

Randy’s goal for his proposal to Mete was “over-the-top, lavish décor, a big wow moment, and all his family and friends in one place,” according to Blum. As anyone who knows Randy personally or from television knows, ‘understated’ is not in his vocabulary. With the help of our friends at Mixed Greens Event Design, we created an over the top, yet exquisitely romantic setting for him to propose. Randy really wanted to surprise Mete with a beautiful moment for him to remember forever.

Fenoli misled Kobal into believing they were going to the Museum of Modern Art for dinner when, in fact, he had 50 of their friends and family waiting in the hotel lobby where he got down on one knee and the room was lit by frigid sparks.

As he puts it, “I simply wanted to make it incredibly unique for him and create a memory that we would have for the rest of our lives.”

He says, “And I was OK with it. I was like, ‘Honestly I have my career, I have my home, I have my dog, I have my mom,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m just going to be single for the rest of my life.’ And then I met Mete.

They met in January at the Marmara, where Kobal was employed at the time as the restaurant and bar manager, and have been dating ever since.

Fenoli admits, “I’m very astonished myself.

Regarding their upcoming nuptials, Fenoli said that he has already begun to prepare how they will exchange vows.

He explains, “We’ve been chatting a lot about the wedding, and of course we picked out our clothing.”

The appeal of a destination wedding can’t be denied: “Princess Cruise Lines offers cruises that visit Greece, Italy, and Istanbul before returning to Istanbul. And I’m considering that it might be something where we hold a small ceremony, perhaps in Italy or on the ship, before arriving in Istanbul. We can disembark and have a reception for his family and all of his friends there.
