The Pakistani music industry has been in the spotlight for its chart-topping beautiful tunes, budding musicians in the city, and a group of women with angelic voices dominating the charts.
The list of these remarkable women is incomplete without the inclusion of Shae Gill, whose soothing voice captivated the world. The 23-year-old musician has brought honour to Pakistan with yet another internationally recognised accomplishment.
According to a press statement, Spotify appointed the Pasoori singer as its Ambassador for the month of December for their EQUAL Pakistan playlist.
The highlight of the world renowned programme was Gill’s recent song Sukoon. As with the prior ambassadors, Gill’s New York Times digital billboard followed, elevating her to the level of iconic Pakistani singers.
Gill and the Pakistani songwriter-singer duo Hassan and Roshaan collaborated on Sukoon. The song was an instant smash with the artists’ fans. Keeping in mind the acclaim Sukoon earned, the collaborators created a similarly peaceful music video that garnered over 81,000 YouTube views.

Social media users were thrilled to see Gill pave the way for young artists to achieve their goals.
Shae Gill, also known as Anushae Babar Gill, began her singing career as an Instagram cover artist before making her Coke Studio debut with Pasoori opposite Ali Sethi. According to Wrapped 2022, Gill became the most listened Pakistani female musician on Spotify this year after achieving success.
On the Work in front, the rising talent has provided vocals for a variety of tracks, including Pasoori, Sukoon, and Le Lu Lai.
