Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi married Ansha Afridi, the daughter of all-rounder Shahid Afridi, in a private ceremony on Friday.

The wedding became the talk of the town, with the hashtags #Nikkah and #ShaheenShahAfridi trending on social media and thousands of tweets being shared on the microblogging platform.

Despite efforts by families to keep photos from their private ceremony private, images of the newlyweds were leaked on social media. As a result, numerous fake accounts posing as the bride began to spread on Twitter.

Shahid Afridi used his Instagram story to clarify that his daughters do not have social media accounts and that these impersonations should be reported.

He stated, “Please note that accounts claiming to belong to my daughters are fake and should be reported. Thank you.”

Previously, the ace racer took to social media to express his displeasure with the unauthorized sharing of photos from his nikkah ceremony.

Pictures from the private event were leaked on social media despite the couple’s request for privacy. He thanked everyone for their prayers and reminded his followers that his daughters are not on social media and that any accounts claiming to be them should be reported.

He later added, “It’s very disappointing that despite many and repeated requests, our privacy was hurt and people kept on sharing it further without any guilt. I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly cooperate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day.”

The 22-year-old cricketer is now the son-in-law of former Pakistani team captain and legendary cricketer Shahid Afridi.

The cricket world’s star couple, married to Ansha Afridi, is receiving congratulations from their millions of fans.
