Veteran journalist Shahida Qazi passes away  

• Prof Shahida Qazi was undergoing treatment at CHK.
• Her funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow after Zuhr prayer.
• The burial of Shahida Qazi will be done in graveyard of KU.

KARACHI: Senior journalist, teacher and former chairperson of Karachi University’s Department of Mass Communication Prof Shahida Qazi passed away.

According to the family members, Prof Shahida Qazi was ill and was undergoing treatment at Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi(CHK).

Prof Shahida Qazi was 79 years old and her funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow after Zuhr prayer.

According to the family, the burial of Shahida Qazi will be done in the graveyard of University of Karachi.

It should be noted that Prof Shahida Qazi has the honor of being Pakistan’s first female TV reporter.
