ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)  and former prime minister have filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the October 27 decision of the Islamabad High Court in the cipher case.

It should be noted that on October 27, the Islamabad High Court had given a detailed decision to reject the bail application of Chairman PTI in the cipher case.

Imran Khan has filed an appeal against the decision of Islamabad High Court through lawyer Latif Khosa.

In the appeal, it has been requested that the cipher case against Chairman PTI be dismissed. The federation and Federal Investigation Agency(FIA)  have been made parties in the petition.

Earlier, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has decided to approach the Supreme Court of Pakistan for securing bail in the cipher case.

PTI legal team sources reported that Qureshi’s bail application is likely to be filed next week.

The legal team is awaiting a certified copy of the Islamabad High Court decision.

A bail application will be filed in the Supreme Court as soon as the certified copy of the decision is received, the legal team sources said.
