MQM decides to file petition in IHC against delimitation
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has started considering filing a petition in the Islamabad High Court(IHC) on delimitation.
MQM-Pakistan raised objections on Malir, Keamari, Baldia, and Korangi constituencies of Karachi in a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja.
The MQM also raised objections to the merger of the urban section with the rural population in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, and Nawabshah.
MQM expressed its serious reservations about the Provincial Election Commissioner and demanded the Chief Election Commissioner remove him from the post.
MQM Pakistan has started considering filing a petition in the Islamabad High Court on the delimitation of constituencies.
“There is a strong possibility that very soon a petition will be filed in the Islamabad High Court after taking a final decision on behalf of MQM Pakistan”.
Earlier, In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming elections, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-Pakistan has decided to intensify its public relations efforts in Sindh.
After successfully conducting an election rally in Karachi, the party has now set its sights on holding public rallies in various cities in Sindh.
MQM Pakistan is scheduled to organize a public meeting in Mirpurkhas on December 15, showcasing its commitment to connecting with the public.
