
CTD arrests 44 terrorists in IBOs across Punjab
LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested 44 terrorists during an operation in different cities, terrorists were planning to attack other places.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab conducted 794 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in different cities. 44 terrorists were arrested during the intelligence-based operation.
The spokesman said that operations were carried out in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Narowal, Sialkot, Khanewal, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.
Two dangerous TTP terrorists were arrested from Lahore and explosives, hand grenades, 37 detonators, and other items were recovered from the terrorists.
The Counter-Terrorism Department said that the terrorists include Muhammad Khan, Abdul Rauf, Habibullah, Muhammad Shehzad, Sahidullah, Osama Azim, Tariq Khan, Tanveer Ahmed, and Ahsan. The terrorists were planning to attack at different places.
The spokesperson said 673 suspects were arrested during 2738 combing operations in May, 96,796 people were questioned in combing operations.
