KARACHI: Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) have formalized their commitment to enhance cooperation in medical education and training through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The ceremony took place at JSMU and marked a significant step towards improving the quality and momentum of teaching activities at JPMC.
The MoU was signed by JPMC Executive Director Prof Shahid Rasul and JSMU Registrar Dr. Azam Khan. Dean of Medicine and Principal of Sindh Medical College Prof Masroor Ahmed and Dean of Basic Medical Sciences Professor Muhammad Azhar Mughal witnessed the signing.
Under this agreement, JSMU will provide faculty members to JPMC, contributing to the teaching staff and addressing existing gaps in educational delivery.
This collaboration aims to elevate the standards of medical education and enhance the training of future healthcare professionals.
Vice Chancellor of JSMU, Prof Amjad Siraj Memon, described the MoU signing as a significant step towards enhancing the quality of medical education and training, fostering collaboration, and addressing existing gaps in teaching activities.
He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in advancing the educational landscape and improving healthcare services in the region.
This MoU represents a shared vision of JSMU and JPMC to strengthen their collaborative efforts, leveraging each institution’s strengths to benefit students and patients alike. The partnership is expected to facilitate enhanced learning experiences, improved patient care, and innovative research initiatives.
