PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has written to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the fake driving license scam.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has said in the letter that fake websites are allegedly verifying licences, FIA cybercrime wing should also investigate fake websites.
On the other hand, in the announcement of the KP government, it has been stated that an investigation committee has also been established at the provincial level to investigate the fake driving license scam in which the Additional IG Special Branch, Law Secretary and MD IT. The committee will submit report to government within a month.
It should be remembered that there were many complaints of verification of fake licenses from Hong Kong and Australia, on which after investigation by the Transport Department of KP, 85 of the 90 driving licenses sent from Hong Kong were found to be fake and only 5 driving licenses were declared to be genuine.
