LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed petition against the appointment of the former Test cricketer Waqar Younis as adviser of the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for hearing.

Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry will hear the citizen’s petition tomorrow, in which the federal government, PCB and Waqar Younis have been made parties.

In the petition, the stand taken by the citizen is that the appointment of Waqar Younis as an advisor is against the law.

In the petition, it has been requested that the court annul the appointment of Waqar Younis as Advisor to Chairman PCB.

According to the sources, last month Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi has handed over the cricket affairs to Waqar Younis, after which the former captain has to look after the series against Bangladesh as his first assignment.
