PESHAWAR: Awami National Party(ANP) senior leader Zahid Khan has announced to quit politics.
Zahid Khan said that he was doing politics with an ideology and thought, but unfortunately there is no ideology in the politics that is going on in the country.
He said “We have made great sacrifices in politics, we can no longer do politics in the current situation”.
He said that he will take the future decision after consulting with the people of his constituency.
Earlier, Veteran politician and Awami National Party (ANP) senior leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour has announced that he will not participate in the upcoming elections.
Talking to media, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said that “I fought the election of 2024 at the age of 85, now health does not allow any more electoral politics”.
He said that “We are the trustees of the martyrs, we have not separated from politics, we will continue to do politics till death”.
The ANP leader said that the people of Peshawar have given a lot of love, but now he is thinking about shifting from Peshawar to Islamabad.
