NEW YORK: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif participated in a ceremony commemorating 50 years of Bangladesh’s membership in the United Nations, following an invitation from Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi accompanied the prime minister.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus warmly welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz and his delegation at the event, which took place on Tuesday night during the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two leaders engaged in constructive discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh across various sectors, highlighting a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
