KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration arrested 5 passengers who went to Saudi Arabia to beg under the guise of Umrah.
FIA Spokesperson said eight passengers were arrested from Karachi in two different operations on charges of embezzlement and traveling on fake documents.
FIA officials say that in the first operation, 5 passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia under the guise of Umrah were arrested.
According to the spokesman, the accused were going to Saudi Arabia to beg. The accused have been transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further legal action.
According to FIA officials, in another operation, three passengers traveling on fake documents were arrested who were going to Azerbaijan on study visa.

Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle has arrested three people for attempting to obtain US visas using fake documents, following a complaint from the US Consulate’s Diplomatic Security Unit.
The suspects, identified as Muhammad Maqsood, Abdullah Swabi, and Sufyan Khalid from Faisalabad, had reportedly purchased the forged documents from agents for $6,000 to $7,000.
They had already paid $1,500 to $2,000 in advance to the agents—Faraz Khetran, Muhammad Umar, and Hammad Shirazi—operating from Lahore, Peshawar, and Sargodha.
