ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to end the protest in Islamabad...
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued notices to the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Interior Secretary, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and IG Islamabad for protest despite the court order.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the contempt of court petition for protesting in the federal capital despite the court order not to allow the protest in the Islamabad High Court.
The petitioner argued that despite the order of the High Court, the protestors came to Islamabad and paralyzed the system of life.
In the petition, it was said that the government and the administration could not maintain peace and order in Islamabad. The contempt of court action should be taken against the parties for violating the court order.
Later, the Islamabad High Court issued notices to the PTI leaders including the Interior Secretary, Chief Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, IG Islamabad and sought their response by next week.
It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had ordered the administration not to allow the protest on November 21, while giving a verdict on the petition against the November 24 protest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI)
The businessmen filed a contempt petition against the non-implementation of the decision on their petition.
