KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh has registered another case of Karachi Airport suicide attack.

According to CTD sources, another case related to the suicide attack at Karachi Airport has been registered in the CTD police station.

According to CTD sources, key commanders of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) Majeed Brigade have been named in the case.

The mastermind of the blast, Bashir Ahmad Baloch alias Bashir Zeib, is also included in the named suspects, while Abdul Rahman alias Rehman Gul, an officer and account holder of private bank at Hub Chowki are also named.

Terrorism, terror financing, explosives, murder and other provisions have also been included in the case.

It should be noted that in the first week of October this year, three people, including two Chinese nationals, were killed and 17 people, including Rangers personnel, were injured in a blast near the Karachi Airport signal.

According to investigative sources, a small car was used for the suicide attack.

The car rider suicide bomber was waiting for the convoy of foreign nationals to leave and as soon as the convoy arrived, the car rider rammed his car into the foreigner’s car while the car was possibly loaded with explosives, which completely destroyed the vehicle.

Earlier,  Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reported that the attack on Chinese nationals near Karachi involved 70 to 80 kilograms of explosives and resulted in at least three fatalities.

According to the report, the blast was caused by a device placed in a vehicle. The explosion not only killed three individuals but also injured 17 others and damaged 15 additional vehicles.

All evidence collected from the scene has been turned over to the relevant police station. Previously, a suicide bomber targeted the Chinese convoy late on Sunday, leading to the casualties and injuries mentioned.
