ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained the federal capital and Punjab police from arresting Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat till December 20.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, judge of Islamabad High Court, heard the plea regarding the provision of details of the cases of PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat.
During the hearing, on the order of the court, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Legal presented the record of the Cell FIR in the court.
Justice Arbab Muhammad stated that “We have given a decision regarding the power of the Executive Magistrate, on this Sher Afzal Marwat said that you have given the best landmark order”.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that a report is also to come from the IG Punjab. On this the court directed the DSP Legal to contact the Punjab government and order the records.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that his 4.1 million have been invested in the advocacy of his cases.
Sher Afzal Marwat pleaded to the court more time.
Later, court restrained the Islamabad and Punjab police from arresting Sher Afzal in any registered case till December 20.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) Rawalpindi granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf(PTI) leaders Umar Ayub and Raja Basharat and ordered their release.
The PTI leaders who were arrested outside the Adiala Jail were produced in the anti-terrorism court today. The arrested 5 leaders including Umar Ayub Khan, Raja Basharat and Nasir Chatta were produced in the court of ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah.
