Man dies as dumper tyre burst in Karachi at Puncture shop

KARACHI: A young man working at a puncture shop died after dumper truck tyre burst in Maripur area of Karachi on Friday.

According to the police, the incident took place at a puncture shop near Sar mast Mazar on Maripur Road in Karachi, where the puncturer lost his life due to a burst tyre.

The police said that the deceased Tuheed was fitting the tyre of the dumper by applying a puncture when the ring of the tire of the dumper came out and hit the head due to which he died before reaching the hospital due to excessive bleeding.

The police further said that after the incident, the dumper driver and the helper left the dumper and ran away.

On the other hand, 5 sisters were received burn injures due to UPS battery explosion at home in Kiamari Town area of Karachi.

According to the police, after the UPS caught fire in the house in Kiamari Town, the battery exploded due to which the whole house was engulfed in fire.

After the fire brigade personnel extinguished the fire, the police visited the affected house and found no evidence of cylinder explosion in the house.

According to the police, the fire in the house started due to the explosion of the UPS battery, which injured 5 sisters whose ages range from 3 to 11 years.
