
Islamabad Police, Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital sign MoU
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police and Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide comprehensive medical services to the families of the martyrs.
Under agreement, families of the martyrs of Islamabad police have received a special discount on treatment at Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital. The hospital will provide subsidized medical services to the ICT police employees and their families.
The MoU was signed during a ceremony at the Islamabad Police Headquarters, where Syed Inayat Ali Shah (PSP), Additional Inspector General of Police (Logistics) Islamabad and Director Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital Arij Niazi signed the agreement.
Inspector General Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi approved the agreement with Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital.
Under this agreement, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital will provide special discounts on consultation, laboratory tests, radiology, OT procedures, In-patients, medicines and other important medical services police personnel and their families.
In particular, the families of the injured police officers and martyred personnel will be given extraordinary discount.
Dr Areej Niazi, who has already been appointed as Ambassador to the ICT Police Department by IG Islamabad Police.
Referring to the agreement, she said, “We want to provide modern and quality health facilities to every individual. Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital is also working to prevent and raise awareness of diseases so that the spread of diseases in Pakistan can be dealt.
She further added that “We appreciate the tireless efforts of the Islamabad police and are proud to serve their families”.
Additional IG Islamabad Police Syed Inayat Ali Shah thanked Dr Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital administration and said that the agreement will play an important role in the welfare of the policemen and their families.
The two sides reiterated their commitment that they would continue to work together to spread awareness about the prevention of diseases in the community.
This partnership will be a big step toward meeting the health needs of the police personnel who sacrificed their lives to protect the public.
