
FIA arrests suspect involved in propaganda against state
ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an accused allegedly involved in propaganda against state institutions during the Jaffar Express attack.
The FIA took action and arrested the accused of campaigning against state agencies. The spokesman said that the accused Haider Saeed was arrested from Bani Gala, Islamabad.
The FIA said the accused was also involved in the support and advertising of banned outfits on social media.
The spokesman said that the accused continued to share provocative statements and materials in favor of terrorists.
An investigation has been launched by seizing the accused’s social media accounts and digital evidence. Strict action will be taken against the accused in accordance with the law.
Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Islamabad registered three cases against the national institutions after Jaffar Express attack.
The FIA lodged against journalist under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), alleging that they incited the public against the institutions through propaganda and tried to promote banned outfits.
