Karachi: Pakistani television industry mourns the loss of veteran actress Ayesha Khan, who was found deceased in her Karachi residence at the age of 77.

According to the police officials in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, her body was discovered after approximately a week, following neighbors’ reports of a strong odor emanating from her apartment. It was revealed that she lived alone.

A close friend, Tehmina Khalid, confirmed Ayesha’s passing, stating that she passed away five days prior in Karachi.

The actress’s body has been transported from Jinnah Hospital to the Edhi cold storage at Sohrab Goth. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted upon her family’s request to determine the cause of death.

Ayesha Khan’s contribution to Pakistani television and her legacy as a beloved actress remain cherished by fans and colleagues alike.

Actor Adnan Siddiqui shared on Instagram, “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return Ayesha Khan Sahiba was one of those people who leave silent yet lasting impressions.”

Actor Khalid Anum also shared his sorrow on Instagram, confirming the legendary actress’s passing at 76 years old, and extended prayers for her soul and patience for her family and admirers.

Fans and celebrities also extend prayers for the late artist.
