ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has called a full court session today, summoning all judges to deliberate on important judicial matters.

The meeting, to be chaired by the Chief Justice, will take place at 2pm. According to the agenda, the session will discuss proposed amendments to the Supreme Court Rules 2025.

The full court will also take up matters related to the status of senior advocates.

It is worth noting that three Supreme Court judges had earlier written a letter requesting the convening of a full court meeting — Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Athar Minallah, and Justice Salahuddin. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah have since resigned.
