FIA official riding motorcycle killed by dump truck collision

Karachi: The city was marked by two severe road incidents: a fatal dump truck collision near Malir Cantt and a devastating crash on Shahrah-e-Faisal caused by dangerous illegal racing.
Malir Cantt:
An officer from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was tragically killed in a traffic accident near Check Post No. 6 on Jinnah Avenue (Malir Cantt area) on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Ayub Khan, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at the airport. He was reportedly wearing his uniform and a helmet and was returning home after finishing his duty.
The accident occurred between 8:35 and 8:40 AM when a speeding dump truck, which was returning after offloading goods from the airport, struck his motorcycle. The impact was fatal, killing Muhammad Ayub Khan instantly.
Traffic police personnel were present at the scene and acted immediately. They detained the dump truck driver, identified as Anwar Khan Son of Ajmain Shah. The dump truck was seized, and the driver was handed over to the relevant police station. Police moved the body to Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.
Shahrah-e-Faisal:
On the other hand, a chaotic scene unfolded on the Baloch Colony Bridge on Shahrah-e-Faisal when a car race went horribly wrong.
Police confirmed the crash involved two vehicles racing. One of the speeding cars lost control and slammed into a motorcycle.
The reckless car then flipped over. Both the motorcycle rider and the driver of the racing car sustained injuries and were transported to Jinnah Hospital.
Authorities seized the damaged car and are actively collecting surveillance footage from the area as part of their investigation into the dangerous incident.
