KARACHI: The Karachi authorities have set up speed limit signs on Shahrah-e-Faisal following the launch of the e-challan system.

According to DSP Admin Kashif Nadeem, the speed limit for cars and jeeps on Shahrah-e-Faisal has been set at 60 km/h, while heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks are restricted to 30 km/h.

The speed limit for motorcycles has also been fixed at 60 km/h. Vehicles exceeding the prescribed limits will be automatically fined through surveillance cameras installed along the route.

It should be noted that the government of Sindh has recently started the series of e-challan, which aims to protect the life and property of the citizens and also enforce the traffic rules.

In this regard, the provincial government is also facing severe criticism from the opposition parties and the public, however, Sindh’s senior minister Sharjeel Inam Memon says that the protection of people’s lives and property is our top priority.
