Pakistan crushes Bangladesh in Hockey World Cup qualifier

Pakistan began their Hockey World Cup Qualifying campaign in Dhaka with a commanding performance, defeating Bangladesh 8-2 in the opening match of the three-game series.

The series will determine which team advances to the World Cup Qualifying Round.

For Pakistan, Ahmed Nadeem and Afraz scored 2 goals each, while captain Imad Butt, Ghazanfar Ali, Rana Waheed Ashraf, and Hanan Shahid added one goal each.

Bangladesh’s goals came from Huzaifa and Amir Islam.

The second match of the Pakistan-Bangladesh series is scheduled for November 14, with the final match set for November 16.

The winner of the three-match series will move forward to compete in the World Cup Qualifying Round.
