For this purpose, World Smile Day is celebrated on October 04 (today) all over the globe including Pakistan. This day is observed on the first Friday of October.

The main motive behind this day is to get out of trouble and share each other’s sorrows, eliminate the misery in the hearts, reduce the growing distance between humanity and realize each other’s true emotions.

A smile is the physical manifestation of happiness, it can start friendships, or cause endless confusion.

Harvey Ball, a commercial artist from Worcester, Massachusetts, created the smiley face in 1963.

Harvey Ball passed away in 2001 and World Smile Day lives on to honor his legacy and to remind us that in a world awash with so much negativity – kindness and happiness can still prevail.

It has continued every year in Smiley’s hometown of Worcester, MA and around the world.
