The fashion industry’s takeover by BTS continues to generate buzz. This time, it has to do with BTS member Golden Maknae Jungkook, also known as Jeon Jungkook. After being followed on Instagram by Calvin Klein’s Global Head of Creative, the K-Pop supergroup’s vocalist left ARMY with excitement. Jungkook was quickly considered by fans to be a possibility for the brand’s next global ambassador. Soon, the term “Calvin Klein” became popular on social media, and ARMY imagined him as the next member of BTS to rule fashion.

BTS’ ARMY rushed online on Monday to announce that the brand’s Global Head of Creative, Cédric Murac, had followed the Golden Maknae on Instagram. As a result, “Calvin Klein” became a trending topic on Twitter. Fans hoped that the BTS singer might become the next K-Pop supergroup member to rule the fashion industry, even though the brand has not yet followed suit. Funny memes and photos and videos of Jungkook wearing Calvin Klein on multiple occasions were shared by fans to show their excitement.

When Suga and Jimin were announced as brand ambassadors for Dior and Valentino, ARMY had envisioned which luxury brands might approach the other members. Some people thought Jungkook would be Calvin Klein’s ambassador, while others thought BTS leader RM would be signed by Bottega Veneta. Several members of the ARMY made fun of their predictions today.

Park Jimin and Suga were previously announced as brand ambassadors for two luxury labels, Dior and Valentino, in relation to BTS’ fashion takeover. The members recently traveled to Paris to attend the fashion shows of each label. Suga traveled to Paris by herself, whereas Jimin was accompanied by J-Hope. J-Hope also went to shows by Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

In contrast, Jungkook released Left and Right with Charlie Puth and Bad Decisions with Park Jimin, Kim Seokjin, Kim Taehyung, Benny Blanco, and Snoop Dogg the previous year. Jimin’s solo album is expected to be released in February, and Jungkook and Suga are also hard at work on their solo albums. Before beginning his service in the military, RM is rumored to also release a new solo album following Indigo.
