CAP, Terrabiz to host conference

KARACHI: Terrabiz Conferences and the Chainstore Association of Pakistan (CAP) on March 8, will host the Future of Retail Business Summit (FOR2022) to bring the Pakistani retail sector onto one cohesive platform, a statement said.

The summit will also focus on the regulatory framework governing the retail sector in a major session, it added.

The summit will include Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Retail (OPS) Director General Naseer Janjua, and Ministry of Commerce (E-Commerce) Senior Joint Secretary Aisha Moriani as Guests of Honour.

Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Azfar Ahsan will preside over the session, where Special Assistant to Prime Minister on E-Commerce Senator Aon Abbas Buppi will be the Guest of Honour at the Summit.

In a joint statement, CAP Chairman Rana Tariq Mahboob and Terrabiz Chief Executive Officer Hamza Wasi Hashmi said that the event will cover critical aspects of the sector including e-commerce, digital payments, physical stores, consumer trends, taxation issues, logistics and supply chain intricacies in today’s global and Pakistani perspective.
