The CA Women Committee of ICAP celebrated CA Women’s Day 2022 at ICAP Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad and virtually through Zoom, a statement said.

The event was commenced by Moneeza Butt followed by addresses of Council Member and CA Women Committee Member Khursheed Kotwal, Council Member and CA Women Committee Chairperson Hina Usmani; ICAP Vice President Saifullah and ICAP President Ashfaq Yousuf Tola.
Chief Guest, British Deputy High Commissioner Karachi Mike Nithavrianakis shed light on ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’.
The Guest of Honour of the event, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Commissioner Sadia Khan briefed the audience on ‘Importance of gender diversity at the workplace and various initiatives taken by the SECP’.
A panel discussion was held, on “Recognising the contribution of gender diversity and inclusiveness, strategy for advancing environmental, social and governance diversity in Pakistan”.
The panel included Unilever Pakistan Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Amir Paracha; Talent Nestle Pakistan Nishwa Qureshi; Essa Laboratory Owner Farah Essa Zaidi; Mondelez International – Malaysia and Singapore Managing Director Narmeen Khan; and PWC New York, US Ayesha Arif Bawanay and moderated by NRC Member and Secretary and CA Women Committee Member Ammara S Gondal.
Keynote Speaker Hum TV Director, Producer and Businessperson Sultana Siddiqui enlightened the audience on ‘Gender equality at the centre of solutions – how is media playing its role in making this awareness’.
CA Women Committee also acknowledged all the ladies who have worked on the CA Women’s projects. CA Women Achievement Awards was announced, where, Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Lilly Dossabhoy and Saira Nasir; CA Woman of the Year Award to Huma Sodher and Aspiring student of the Year Award to Khizra Manzoor.
Four women members achieved the benchmark of completing 25 years of association as members with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. The awards were also given to the longest serving female employees in their respective locations.
Husnain R Badami in his closing remarks appreciated the speakers and the efforts put forth by the CA Women Committee for organising a wonderful event. The event was followed by dinner at each location.
