Khairpur Chamber holds session on Pakistan-Indonesia trade

Khairpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Sukkur organised a workshop on bilateral trade between Pakistan and Indonesia to view the potential of Sukkur and Khairpur regional products, a statement said.

Consul General of Indonesia Dr June Kuncoro, and Consul for Economic and Trade Affairs of Indonesia Djumara Supriyadi attended the session along with the team of Indonesian Consulate.

Khairpur CC&I founder member Shabnam Zafar, and President Bashir Ahmed Arain gave a warm welcome to the Indonesian delegates. A presentation was also made by the Indonesian Consulate on the recent development of bilateral trade between Indonesia and Pakistan. The TDAP Sukkur delivered a detailed presentation on the market potential and production capacity of regional products, specifically dates. As one of the exporters has received an export order of 150 tonnes of dates recently from Indonesia with the efforts of Pakistan Trade Mission Jakarta.

The programme ended with a question and answer session where Sukkur Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Amir Ali Ghauri, Engineer Abdul Fateh Sheikh, Irfan Samad, Abdul Majeed Qureshi, Ali Jibran, Khalil Ahmad Sheikh, Omar Dharija, Professor Abdul Salam were also present in the session.
