At least 19 people killed and 16 others were wounded when Pakistan Army Aviation training plane crashed in Rawalpindi’s residential area.
Two pilots and three crew members were among the dead.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), Army Aviation training aircraft was on a normal flight when it crashed.
Pak Army and Rescue 1122 teams had reached the incident spot immediately.
According to ISPR, the army personnel who died in the plane crash included Lt Col Saqib and Wasim, Naib Subedar Afzal, Hawaldar Ibne Amin, and Rahmat. Five houses were engulfed by fire after the plane crash.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash however, the injured were shifted to the hospitals.
