Case of BOL News’ anchorperson Mureed Abbas has been transferred to anti-terrorism court.
According to the details, judicial magistrate on Tuesday allowed transfer of anchor Mureed Abbas murder case to an Anti-Terrorism Court.
Hearings of two murder cases including anchor Mureed Abbas’ case were held in Karachi City Court, where judge Fazil asked the lawyer to provide evidences and proofs with the charges of terrorism.
During the hearing of the case, lawyer for Atif Zaman, the suspect in the double murder case, opposed the inclusion of terrorism clauses in the case against his client.
Court gave remarks that the decision of transferring the case to Anti-Terrorism court will be taken after listening to the statements of the Investigation Officer.
‘There is no margin for errors as this is a high profile case where justice should be provided’ court said.
During the hearing, court asked the Investigation officer regarding putting terrorism charges in the case, to which IO replied, suspect killed two people in the area, which spread fear in the society.
After hearing the arguments from lawyers and the statement of IO, the court approved the application seeking transfer of the case to the Anti-Terrorism Court.
