Pakistan Coast Guard seizes drugs worth millions in a raid near Karachi super highway.

According to the details, Pakistan Coast Guards raided an area 200 meters away from Karachi super highway check post and seized 4kg drugs hidden in bushes.

In another event during checking at a check post a passenger was caught carrying 2kg Hashish travelling through bus from Peshawar to Karachi. Police arrested the passenger.

The seized drugs are worth around $58,000 or Rs9.8 million in international market. Police is further investigating the smuggling case.

Pakistan Coast Guards remain active in curtailing smuggling of drugs and all other items into the country. Spokesperson Pakistan Coast Guards say that their institution will keep working towards betterment of the country’s economy.


Previously, a group member of drug smugglers has been arrested in Gadap Town here on Wednesday.

According to the details, around 20 kilograms of smuggled heroine was recovered by police.

Police raided the area on the basis of secret Intel, the officials told.

According to SSP Malir, the accused Mohammad Ansar used to supply heroine to a group of drug sellers.

The drug sellers then provide the drugs in educational institutions and in posh areas.

Case has been filed against accused M. Ansar and further investigation continues over the incident, SSP Malir said.


In a similar incident Pakistan Navy, in an offshore operation near Gwadar, has seized 1600 kilograms of hashish.

Hashish that was seized during the operation valued of US dollars 32 million, said that spokesperson in the details.

Navy carried out this complex operation on the basis of continuous surveillance and mutual cooperation of the Anti-narcotics Force.
