FM Shah Mehmood calls upon French Foreign Minister
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi calls upon French Foreign Minister to discuss Kashmir issue.
In the telephonic conversation Shah Mehmood Qureshi told French FM about ongoing human rights violation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian forces.
Both leaders also discussed regional security environment. FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi also told French FM about the implications on the regional security of unilateral decision by India to revoke Article 370.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi further said that Indian has imposed curfew in IOJ&K since 5 August. Human rights violations are skyrocketing and Indian actions in Kashmir are in violations of United Security Council resolutions.
FM further added that we are seeing a catastrophe emerging in IOJ&K which is seriously going to damage and undermine the regional security environment.
French FM said that they have serious concerns over the growing situations in Kashmir. French FM also urged that both countries should solve the issue through dialogue and peacefully.
French FM also appreciated Pakistan’s role in ongoing Afghan peace process.
French FM also said that he will raise the deteriorating situations in Kashmir upon the tour of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to France.
Both leaders also urged to keep contact for better bilateral relations.
