Several villages of Punjab were flooded due to raise in the water levels, after India opened water in its area on the Sutlej River.

According to flood control room, floodwater released from Indian side would pass from Kot Mithan tonight.

A continuous increase of water level has been noted at head Sulemanki.

Several villages of Tehsil Manchanabad have been inundated as the water level continues to rise in River Sutlej, according to Flood control center.

Locals are migrating from underdeveloped areas to safe places. Flood relief camps have been established in the areas of River Ballot.

Locals of riverside villages and their animals are being evacuated to Flood relief camps through boats.

On the other side, various villages of Jhang have been submerged under flood after Chenab’s increased River flow.

Indefinite suspension has been declared in the schools of flooded areas. Hundreds of students have been deprived of studies as school grounds are submerged in floodwater.

Water levels remain high at the River Indus near Rajanpur. Relief camps have been established in the areas nearby as floodwater will reportedly pass from Kothan Mithan and Rojhan areas.

Floodwater from Sukkur Bairaj continues to move towards Kotri Bairaj.

River levels are monitored to tackle any emergency situation.
