India army targeted civilian population along Line of Control (LOC) with cluster ammunition which is the violation of Geneva Convention and the international laws.
According to the Inter service public relations (ISPR), Indian Army used cluster bombs to target civilian population along LoC on July 30 and 31 in which two children were martyred and 11 civilians were injured.
ISPR stated, “Indian Army uses cluster ammunition along LOC deliberately targeting Civilian population which is the violation of Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law.”
It should be noted that the Cluster bomb causes more destruction than the mines.
It is pertinent to mention here that using of cluster ammunition against civilian population is not only against the Geneva Convention but also violates International Humanitarian Law because of its severe impact on non-combatants.
Pakistan Army maintained that this latest violation is against international laws and It urged the international community to take notice of this Indian blatant violation of international laws on use of cluster ammunition targeting innocent citizens.
DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor in a tweet also said that the Use of cluster bombs by Indian Army violating international conventions is condemnable. No weapon can suppress determination of Kashmiris to get their right of self determination. Kashmir runs in blood of every Pakistani. Indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiris shall succeed,InshAllah.
