British boxer of Pakistani origin Amir Khan visited the Line of Control to show solidarity with Kashmiris and to raise his voice for peace in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
This visit by the athlete comes in light of the increasing tensions between Pakistan and India following New Delhi’s decision to strip occupied Kashmir of its autonomous status.
“People are being tortured and children are being killed,” he said, adding, “I was watching all of this on my television in Britain, but I could not stay silent.”
He further said that he will raise his voice against the brutalities of Indian occupation forces in Kashmir.
Earlier this week Amir Khan announced that he will be visiting Pakistan.
In his tweet, the boxing sensation condemned Indian brutality on innocent Kashmiris and thanked Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) who has given him opportunity to visit the LoC.
The boxing sensation said that he will visit the Line of Control to make his voice heard, bring greater awareness to the terrible situation in Kashmir and call for peace.
